Agents of SHIELD actor reacts to Cut Avengers: Endgame performance

Reed Diamond, who played Werner Reinhart in Agents of SHIELD, reacts to his abridged appearance in the recently resurfaced Avengers: Endgame.

It turns out Agents of SHIELD The enemy was almost inside Avengers: Endgame as Werner Reinhart himself, Reed Diamond, reacts to his cut cameo. Before Marvel Studios pursued their own MCU-based shows on Disney+, Disney had its own Marvel TV division made up of multiple series. Before launching the Disney-branded service, Marvel TV had shows on ABC, Netflix, Hulu, and Freeform. One of them was Agents of SHIELDwhich served as a semi-spinoff The Avengers by focusing on Clark Gregg’s Phil Coulson and his spy team.

Despite the show’s connection to the films, the MCU is never referenced Agents of SHIELD during its seven-year term. Regardless of the lack of MCU films acknowledging the TV shows, it turns out Avengers: Endgame almost had one Agents of SHIELD villain. Werner Reinhart, who was one of the main antagonists in Agents of SHIELD Season 2, was about to have a small appearance in the final Avengers episode. Recently, old concept art from Cantina Creative resurfaced showing a clear shot of Diamonds Agents of SHIELD Character seen alongside other HYDRA members. But for some reason it was cut as it was never shown in the theatrical version.

While it’s unclear why Werner’s visual cameo was removed, the actor has come up with a hilarious response. When fans tagged him for the resurfaced concept art, diamond reacted to this and made it clear he had no idea Werner was almost there Avengers: Endgame. According to the Agents of SHIELD Star, it seems that Marvel Studios was very ambiguous with him when they reached out to check his availability and shared the following:

Even if it was just a short cameo, Avengers: Endgame had already packed a lot for the three-hour running time of the film. However, it probably would have been a big deal for Agents of SHIELD Fans at last getting to see some of the show are being credited one way or another, especially as the films have continued to keep the series at bay. Given Werner’s ties to HYDRA, something the MCU films used for multiple phases, it would have been more than appropriate for his referenced history.

While Agents of SHIELD I’ve never had the chance to really act in the movies with character appearances, that may finally change. Spider-Man: No Way Home and hawk eye made the first Marvel TV inclusions by having Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’onofrio Kingpin appear in their respective Marvel projects. This came before all Marvel Netflix shows and Agents of SHIELD, added to Disney+ as these properties will be explored by a whole new audience and open the door for more Marvel TV characters to make their way into the films. Missed despite Avengers: Endgame, Agents of SHIELD Viewers can still see future cameos later.
