Bloodline Anime is getting an action-packed teaser trailer

A new anime series based on the Tekken fighting video game franchise is coming to Netflix, and the announcement came with a first trailer.

TekkenNamco’s classic brawling tournament video game franchise comes to Netflix in the form of a new anime series.

A teaser trailer for Tekken: bloodline was revealed on Netflix’s YouTube channel, giving fans a glimpse of the story and characters that the series will follow. The protagonist is the series’ main character, Jin Kazama, who is on a quest to find his grandfather, the legendary Heihachi. The trailer begins with Jin’s martial arts training, but the mystical side of the series’ universe soon emerges with the emergence of demons and deadly superpowers.

The official synopsis for Tekken: bloodline is as follows:

“Power is everything.” Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, traditional Kazama-style martial arts, from his mother at a young age. Despite this, he was powerless when suddenly a monstrous evil appeared, destroying everything dear to him and changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to prevent it, Jin swore revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest leads to the ultimate battle on a global scale – the King of Iron Fist Tournament.

Jin’s quest is foreshadowed by a slogan that appears between takes: “When fate calls, a dark hero will rise.” Although the anime’s plot seems to focus primarily on Jin and his family, it casts several other recognizable characters the featured video games, like King and Paul, which mostly appear in flashes in a sequence at the end of the trailer.

debuted in 1994, Tekken is one of the most popular and successful fighting video games of all time and has received more than one adaptation in other media. With nearly 20 titles spanning nearly three decades, the franchise has introduced an enormous body of characters and subplots, many of which intertwine and carry over from title to title. Gameplay focuses on melee combat, giving each character a unique set of moves based on real-world fighting styles, in addition to the backstory and personal details assigned to the various playable characters.

Tekken: bloodline will premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2022; no more precise release window has been announced at this time. The upcoming series joins a growing collection of Netflix-produced anime titles spanning all genres and interests.
