Exclusive: NEW detail about the mysterious Thor: Love and Thunder monster!

Hey true believers! Yesterday the image of the new Lego set for Thor: Love and Thunder called “Assault on New Asgard”. A very strange and notable aspect of the set is that it contained a rather strange looking monster.

[SPOILER WARNING for Thor: Love and Thunder below!]

Well, my first thought when I saw this monster was “Wow. That’s a goofy looking monster!” followed by the thought that it looked sort of like a child’s drawing. Well here comes the exclusive part of this post because not long after last night I heard from a previously reliable source that this particular monster in the movie is actually brought to life from a child’s drawing!

That seems like a pretty wild idea, but consider who the director is, among other factors, which I’ll get into below, and it makes sense. It wouldn’t surprise me if Taika Waititi painted the picture himself. When it comes to bringing drawings to life, Kid Kaiju Kei Kawade naturally comes to mind first. For now, though, I think a much more sinister presence could be responsible for the child’s drawing coming to life and attacking New Asgard.

To start off, it would be remiss not to mention the casting call illuminerdi reported long ago for a little boy they named Zappa who would appear in Thor 4. You’ll find that this character doesn’t match Kei Kawade at all. It’s possible he was cast too, it just wasn’t reported, or they altered Kei Kawade or gave Zappa his powers, but what I’m obviously hearing is that Kid Kaiju isn’t responsible for the monster in the movie becoming the life awakens .

That leaves a lot fewer options and after some research I’ve come to a theory. Gorr also attacks Asgard in this Lego set. You can see him holding a sword, more specifically, he’s holding the All-Black The Necro Sword, which he uses to slay various gods. In the comics, the symbiote and sword grant Gorr many powers, one of which involves the creation of black berserkers to help him slay the gods. You may recall that these berserkers also appear in Thor: Ragnarok as commanded by Hela.

This is where this piece, the Asgard tours, and a child’s drawing come into my theory about this monster. We know there’s a play that depicts what happened in Thor: Ragnarok and Hela and her legion’s attack on the Aesir. We know there will be tours of New Asgard, so Midgardians are paying to see what it’s like in this Viking-like fantasy land of gods and monsters. This is where Zappa may come in, and this is where he and other children may learn about Hela and other monsters attacking the Aesir, and then draw what they think those monsters might look like. Jormungand the Midgard Serpent has also been flagged as a possibility for this Lego monster, although it’s still not quite what we’ve come to expect from this creature. But it might suit a child’s imagination of what the Midgard Serpent might look like, or Berserker, or some other monster from Asgard’s past. Definitely come here Christian Bales Gorr the God Slayer… with the power to manifest monsters. And perhaps inspired by the drawings made by the children he visits when he arrives in New Asgard, he brings at least one of them to life.

Of course, people will say that the Lego sets aren’t entirely reliable because they sometimes throw in other things that aren’t actually in the movies. Still, I find it an odd detail that Lego just made it up, that this monster was made from a child’s drawing. This seems random even to them. So I believe my source, who also knew about the “evil” Doctor Strange Doctor Strange 2 Trailers already dubbed “Sinister Strange” back in December reveal that this tidbit of information about this kid’s monster drawing also came from the film.

What do you think? What is this monster and how does it come to Thor: Love and Thunder? Let us know in the comments or on social media!
