HBO Max’s Close Enough Announces Season 3 Release Date

Regular Show creator JG Quintel’s animated series Close Enough has released a new trailer confirming its Season 3 premiere date on HBO Max.

The third season of JG Quintel Close enough officially has a premiere date.

A new trailer for Close enough confirms that Season 3 will be available to stream on HBO Max starting Thursday, April 7th. The trailer itself begins by teasing a Halloween episode in which the character Josh Singleton (Quintel) dresses up as Mordecai, the anthropomorphic blue jay Quintel in his 20s in his popular Cartoon Network series Regular show.

From HBO Max and JG Quintel comes Close Enough, a surreal animated comedy about a married couple, their five-year-old daughter and their two divorced best friends/roommates who all share a cramped apartment in east Los Angeles. Your life may not be ideal, but it’s close enough for now.

In fact, the Halloween episode seems to be full of references. Josh’s wife Emily Ramirez (Gabrielle Walsh) appears to be dressed up as a prince, while their daughter Candice Singleton-Ramirez (Jessica DiCicco) is dressed up as Chucky child’s play film series. Meanwhile, her roommate Bridgette Yoshida (Kimiko Glenn) poses as Jubilee X-Menwhile their landlady Pearle Watson (Danielle Brooks) appears disguised as Morpheus The Matrix. However, it seems Bridgette’s ex-husband Alex Dorpenberger (Jason Mantzoukas) thinks wearing a costume is beneath him.

The trailer also features heaps of mayhem, with highlights including a painful day at the miniature golf course, Josh getting seriously injected after biting into a microwave burrito, a day at an amusement park that went horribly wrong, and the aforementioned Halloween episode that descended into anarchy as a result Los Angeles residents don’t know how to deal with a little rain.
