Marvel’s Multiverse era is upon us, and it seems every studio involved in the world of Marvel Comics wants a piece of it. The next movie that could potentially delve into the world of the Marvel Multiverse is disease. disease Lead actor Jared Leto recently told MovieWeb which character from the world of Marvel they would like to share the screen with.
It turns out that disease would like to work with Tom Hardy’s poison, aka Eddie Brock. Here’s what Leto had to say: “Besides Robert Downey, Iron Man, there’s so many people that that would be awesome, but obviously Venom would make a lot of sense. That would be fun. “
As Jared Leto says, this makes a lot of sense, Morbius jokingly quips in one of the film’s trailers that he’s Venom, suggesting the character is in the same universe as Dr. Michael’s disease. Tony Stark, of course, makes a lot less sense because of his death Avengers: Endgame. poison and Venom: Let there be carnage have proven to be a great success for Sony Spiderverse. Well, after the colossal crossover hit that was Spiderman: No way homeSony pressed the Go button on one Kraven the Hunter movie as well as one Mrs Web Characteristic.
When it comes to being like Jared Letos disease Film sits in all these projects and the Spiderverse overall remains a mystery. If some past promotional materials are to be believed, there is one instance where any number of Spidermen could act as a web-slinger protecting New York City in Morbius’ world. The Tobey Maquire-esque Spiderman mural can be seen in a trailer at the Oscorp building The Incredible Spiderman Movies were also presented. Not only that, Michael Keaton’s Vulture also stars in a trailer for the film. This character is of course notable as Tom Holland’s enemy in Spiderman homecoming. Keaton seems to have made a habit of engaging in multiversal since he returns as Batman The Lightning and bat girl
Fans have been wondering where Jared Leto and disease sitting in between it all, just who will his spiderman be? To clarify this, Cinemablend spoke to the man in the chairman, disease Director Daniel Espinosa. Espinosa gave his definitive take on the matter: “You have a world where you have the same characters, and it’s ALL the characters, but they’re a little different. So in almost all verses you have Spider-Man or the Fantastic Four or Tony Stark or Morbius. But they will be different in tone. That’s not quite how the Marvel Cinematic Universe approaches the idea, but they stick to a core truth. Then you have the second type of legend, centered around the totem. That is, in all universes there is a spider totem. Which means there must be a Spider-Man in all universes. Or a spider woman.”
Instead of narrowing things down, Daniel Espinosa has opened them up even wider. We may not see any of the existing live action Spiderman Stars, maybe Peter Parker by Josh Gad Into the Spiderverse will appear. And maybe Jared Leto’s desire to take on Venom won’t see him sharing the screen with Tom Hardy, but with Topher Grace.
Fascinating that both Jared Leto and Daniel Espinosa have cited Tony Stark as a potential entrapment in the same universe disease. All of this is hypothetical, of course, and makes up a large part of the comic book movie world. Fans will theorize and ask questions, conjure up narratives and filmmakers will do their best to make fans’ dreams come true. What is known, however, is that Jared Leto will be sharing the screen with Matt Smith as the antagonist of Loxia’s Crown. Also involved are Jared Harris, Adria Arjona, Corey Johnson and Tyrese Gibson. The film hits American theaters on April 1st.
