The acclaimed streaming platform first got its start in the original films in 2015 with the Golden Globe-nominated war drama beasts without a nation and The ridiculous 6, Netflix’s first deal with Adam Sandler. Netflix has since expanded its original film library with other Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated projects, including mudbound, Rome and The Irishman.

Over the past year, the streamer rolled out some of his biggest hits and most experimental endeavors, including starring in Zendaya Malcolm & Marie, bad trip and The harder they fall. In 2021, Netflix also started to gain some traction in franchise building with Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead Universe and starring Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot Red notice. With the new year now underway, audiences are getting a glimpse of what’s to come from Netflix.

As part of the championship game Netflix has unveiled a special Super Bowl advertisement for its 2022 film board. The video includes footage from some of the streaming platform’s biggest upcoming titles, including the one helmed by Ryan Gosling The gray man and Ryan Reynolds leading man The Adam Project. The Adam Project marks Ryan Reynolds’ most recent collaboration with Netflix, with the pair first collaborating for Michael Bay’s 6 underground. The streamer and actor recently worked together on the action comedy Red noticewhich was a critical underwhelmer but a hit for Netflix, becoming the platform’s most-watched original film within a month of its premiere, beating the previous record-holder birdhouse. That success led to Netflix ordering two sequels starring Johnson, Gadot and Reynolds, all to return with writer/director Rawson Marshall Thurber, and planning to film back-to-back.

Early reactions to The Adam Project has recently begun to praise Reynolds’ sci-fi adventures for its emotional gut punches and the nostalgic vibe of its sci-fi story. The film is one of many high profile projects Netflix on the horizon, with the Super Bowl commercial also offering exciting new looks at the action thriller starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans The gray man from avenger Directors Joe and Anthony Russo and Jason Momoa’s weird fantasy character in slumberland. Audiences can look forward to the streaming platform expanding its original movie slate with the premieres of A handful of revenge on February 17 and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Restart on February 18th.
