While promoting the upcoming superhero movie on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Robert also gives credit to 30-year-old Suki for boosting his confidence in his performance.

“I was absolutely terrified. I haven’t been afraid to release a film in such a long time and I haven’t released a film in a long time,” said Robert.

Jimmy asked when he breathed a sigh of relief and Robert explained that he had seen the first 90 minutes before so he knew that was great.

“I got into this habit where I kind of realized I had to be in the perfect balance of serotonin to take care of my own stuff. I have to train beforehand, I need a lot of sugar and caffeine. Whatever I watch, I think yes! ‘ said Robert, laughing.

Jimmy asked if his director, Matt, was watching him during the screening to get his reaction.

‘I’m not really sure. I also watched it with my girlfriend. … It was really her reaction that changed the whole thing,” Robert said.

“Because I’m pretty sure she doesn’t usually watch superhero movies. And when I saw it held her attention the whole time, and then she held my hand and touched it right there, ‘Robert touched his cheek.

“I could feel a small tear. And I thought no way,” he added.

“Did she just go after you after the movie? Super pimped by Batman?” Jimmy asked.

“I mean, yes,” laughed Robert.

Robert also shared how he tried on the Batman suits for the role during a screen test with Warner Bros.

“I’ve tried them all on. It’s kind of… it’s the size of your head, that’s the determining factor. And I think the fitter body is Val Kilmer’s. And Clooney’s head is fit,” revealed Robert.

The Batman hits theaters on March 4th in the UK and US.
