Samuel Jackson objects to the fact that he’s only ranked as the third most cast actor in film history, behind Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Samuel L. Jackson is only the third now foul-mouthed actor in film history, something that Secret invasion Star had trouble with.
When appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jackson has been informed that he is third on a list of actors with most swearing on screen of all time, just behind Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill. “This is nonsense!” Jackson replied jokingly. “Well, no, no way! Jonah Hill and Leo? Really? I don’t think so. Somebody miscounted.” Jackson and presenter Jimmy Fallon continued, if only it were a list saying: “the expletive, that a, the one that Jackson would win. According to Buzz Bingo’s list, Hill had about 376 on-screen swear words, DiCaprio was right behind with 361, and Jackson was third with a total of 301 on-screen swear words.
The list was originally published in 2020 and was then called 2013 The Wolf of Wall Street, which starred both Hill and DiCaprio, as the most cursed film overall. Jackson’s third place is followed by Adam Sandler in fourth and Al Pacino in fifth. However, Jackson remains known for his swearing. In 2020, Jackson promised that if 2,500 people confirmed their voter registration status to him, they would teach them to swear in 15 different languages. He kept that promise and released a video of himself explaining how to say “motherfucker” in languages like Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Swahili, Czech and Catalan and more.
Though Jackson is third on a list, he will receive an honorary Oscar at the 2022 Academy Awards for his long-standing acting career. The veteran actor has only been nominated for one Academy Award in his career, a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his performance as Jules Winnfield in pulp fiction in 1995. However, Jackson recently stated that an Oscar is not the achievement many think it is. “[It] not changing her career path that much,” they got in a recent interview. “A lot of people have them and haven’t done much since.”
Jackson is currently set to reprise his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Nick Fury on Disney+ Secret invasion series, but the actor also revealed that he will also appear as Fury in upcoming MCU films The wonders and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. “It was like that when I was in London [Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania]and [The Marvels] happened and we prepared for it [Secret Invasion],” Jackson said. “It was like, three Marvel movies on one lot. I kind of ran from place to place.”
Secret invasion will debut on Disney+ later in 2022.
