Spider-Man: No Way Home reveals a deleted Daredevil scene

Charlie Cox returned as Matthew Murdock / Daredevil for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and a leaked featurette reveals another scene involving him was cut.

daredevil Fans almost saw more of Matt Murdock Spider-Man: No Way Home.

A leaked behind-the-scenes featurette reveals that a scene was filmed with Happy Hogan actor Jon Favreau and Charlie Cox reprising his role from the daredevil row for the movie. While only appearing on screen for a single scene, Murdock advised Hogan that he would “need a really good lawyer” before catching a brick thrown through the window and calling himself one. The deleted scene appears to focus on Murdock acting as Hogan’s “really good lawyer” while under investigation over technology that went missing at Stark Industries.

In February, Cox revealed that he and Jon Favreau were trying to put an Easter egg in the film that referenced Franklin’s “Foggy” Nelson. Foggy Nelson is Matt Murdock’s legal partner and best friend, portrayed by Elden Henson in the Netflix Marvel series. Before Henson, however, Favreau portrayed the character in 2003 alongside actor Ben Affleck daredevil Movie. That the two would be there No way home together they could not ignore the coincidence.

Speaking about the cut reference, Cox said, “I don’t think they used it, but we added a little Easter egg that says, ‘Yeah, I’m a little bit nebulous about how that happened’ or something.” , he described the opportunity to speak to Favreau about it daredevil as a “cool moment”. However, Cox never specified whether the moment was to take place in the scene that made the film’s final cut or in a scene that was discarded altogether.

While these shows are no longer available on the streaming platform, they are landing on Disney+ on March 16th.

As for Daredevil’s future in the MCU, rumors are circulating that the character will appear in other upcoming projects including moon knight, She Hulk, echo, heart of steel and arms wars. The allegedly leaked shot sheet also indicates that a new Daredevil-centric project is also in the works. However, no official confirmation has been given to these rumors and reports.

While daredevil will soon be available to stream in full length on Disney+, Spider-Man: No Way Home is still in theaters and will be available on Blu-ray in early April and on digital platforms on March 15th.
